What is truth? It is a question that I myself have asked myself before and continue to ask myself everyday. The question although has shifted from what is truth, to what is my truth? I believe that what may be true for me may not necessarily be true for someone else. Each person is unique and has a path that is unique to them and that part of the journey of life is about finding out what our deepest truth is, and be able to then live in resonance with what that is. How do we know what our truth is? How do we begin to live in resonance with what that truth is when we find it?
From the perspective of the horses it is quite easy to discern what is our truths. We must only listen to and tap into our biggest source of insight and wisdom in our lives. What is that source? Ourselves and most specifically our bodies and emotions. They also teach us that the only person that is an expert on what your truth is, is yourself. So once again the question is how do we find our truths? How do we know when we are living in accordance and resonance with what those truths are?
The horses in the modality of personal discovery, teach us that in order to live our truths, the first step is to gain clarity on what our truths are. They show us by reflecting back to us what we are feeling in the moment what it feels like to honor and to be in congruence with our authentic selves or true self. The horses teach us how to pay attention to how we feel about different things in our lives and to honor those feelings. They also show us the importance of being conscious about our own body and the wisdom it stores for us. What in your life brings you joy? What are you passionate about? Think of a situation in your life and tune into how your body responds. Do you feel light? Do you feel a heaviness? Is there a twisting in your gut? Or perhaps a fluttering in your heart? These feelings or sensations in our bodies are our system’s way of giving us messages. The horses teach us how to discern these messages and see them for what they are. Information. Once we are able to gain the information and messages that we are feeling and emoting. We are then able to take action to either getting back on course or continuing on the path that we are on. When we feel good about something or when the horse mirror’s back to us an interaction of authenticity and congruency we know that we have touched a truth and that we are in fact in alignment in that moment with what that truth looks like for us.
From the horse’s perspective it is important to honor our unique selves and our respective truths and to have the courage to take a stand for what we feel is right for us. Life holds many truths and it is for us as individuals to find the truths that resonates with us as individuals and honor the uniqueness of who we all are.
In the next coming blogs we will look at the different emotions that we hold and how to discern the information and messages in each emotion. Until then walk with compassion for yourselves and for your journey. Honor who you are and embrace the perfection that life is in this moment.
THANK YOU for the insights to the ‘clues’ from our physcial realm — it always amazes me how ‘awful’ I feel when I am not standing in and living in my truth… it’s not just speaking truth – it’s living it…
